Garden Route

Day one:

Depart Cape Town for Oudtshoorn. Along the way we visit Kleinplasie, an open air museum with exhibits relating to the farming community. As the scenery changes to desert type vegetation we find ourselves in Oudtshoorn where we overnight.

Day two:

After a hearty Karoo breakfast we explore the world famous Cango Caves. If the Stalactites and Stalagmites did not impress you then certainly a close encounter with a croc or lion at the Croc and Cheetah farm would do the trick. If that does not do the trick then a ride on the ostrich should do it. We then depart for Knysna where we overnight.

Day three:

A day of relaxation and of exploration. After a leisurely breakfast we explore the lovely town of Knysna. A boat ride that takes you all the way to the Knysna Heads is an option. This is followed by a ride on a genuine steam train - the Outeniqua Tjoo-Choo from Knysna to George. This must be the most stunning train ride in the world ! Do not miss it. We overnight in George.

Day four:

Unfortunately we have to depart for Cape Town but along the way we visit the towns of Mossel Bay where we visit the Dias Museum and the Old Post Office Tree. Rolling farmlands take us to Hermanus, a town popular because of the Southern Right Whale during June and November. We arrive back in Cape Town after four fantastic days.
